Trying out a blog

When I was in basic training Dana sent out E-mails to everyone and when I got back everyone said that they loved hearing what was going on. Then my brilliant sister started a blog the other day and I thought what a good way to let everyone know what is going on.

So this is my blog. I will try to keep it updated as much as possible. I can't talk about specifics of my job or where I am at when I am not in Seattle but I can atleast let everyone know how I am doing and some of the things I have been doing lately.

This weekend I am recovering from this past week of training. My platoon was being evaluated this past week to guage how effective our training has been these past months. We did pretty well and we got some compliments from the Sgt. Major and the Battalion Commander which doesn't happen too often. It was a stressfull and physically demanding week so I am enjoying some football games and just relaxing for a couple days before we get back to training on Monday. P.T. test on Monday and ranges most of the week.

Dana is doing good. We both miss eachother but she is coming out to stay for a couple weeks pretty soon. We are going to try to find an apartment so when I get back from deployment we know where we want to live and the move can go as smoothly as possible. On my leave I will go back to Michigan and get her and all our stuff and drive it all the way out to Washington. It is a long drive that I have done once before with my Mom. This time will be slower driving a U-Haul but it will be worth it to have her out here.

Dana and I had the best wedding ever!! I love her lots and I am the luckiest man on Earth! I will try to attach some pictures to this blog also.

I had to fight for a piece of my own wedding cake!

This is me steeling the show at the rehearsal dinner!

I rarely wear this uniform but I do look good in it! (boarding the boat before the rehersal dinner)
